Dozens of members of the Connecticut Convention & Sports Bureau (CTCSB) boarded two Peter Pan coach buses and traveled around Downtown Hartford to visit some of the city's restaurants, including new ones and longtime favorites. "The purpose of this event was to provide an opportunity for members of the convention and hospitality industry to become better acquainted with some of downtown's restaurants and night spots," explained Michael Van Parys, President of the Connecticut Convention & Sports Bureau. "This enables them to speak knowledgeably as they market the region or respond to inquiries from visiting meeting attendees and leisure travelers." At each restaurant, servers boarded the buses with tastings of menu items or passengers hopped off to sample their most popular dishes. Participating venues included Ted’s Montana Grill, Nixs Hartford, Agave Grill, Black-Eyed Sally’s BBQ & Blues, City Steam Brewery Café, Max Downtown, Black-Eyed Sally’s, and Spiritus Wines. Northeast Utilities was the event’s corporate sponsor, and Peter Pan donated the buses.
