Many of us are familiar with the amazing bravery of Paul Revere in 1775 as he rode into the night to warn Samuel Adams, John Hancock, and fellow Americans that British Troops were coming. Three quarters into his journey he was joined by two American riders and they were captured by British forces upon reaching the 20 mile mark (two escaped, not Revere).

...but have you heard of Sebal (Sybil) Lundington? Considered the "Paul Revere" of females, she too warned American Militia of an incoming British force in 1777. Interestingly, she rode twice the distance of Paul Revere (40+ miles - in the night), under worst weather conditions (raining), did so alone, evaded all the British soldiers, and rallied nearly 400 militiaman. This amazing feat was accomplished at the youthful age of 16, more than half the age of the professional courier, Paul Revere.

What, if any, current business trends affecting females and young professionals in the association industry can be cited when comparing the positioning of these two brave heroes in America's history books?
