The CAE designation is a mark of achievement for any leader in the field of association management. Certification is conferred by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) for demonstrating a high level of competence in association management, documenting professional, educational and community service achievements and fulfilling prescribed standards of performance and conduct.
To help you achieve your CAE designation, NYSAE conducts a formal CAE Career Enrichment Program. The CAE Career Enrichment Program will assist you in preparing for the examination through evening classes facilitated by CAEs. The program encompasses all subjects covered on the CAE examination and will assist you with the completion of all materials required to take the exam. In addition, all participants in the CAE Career Enrichment Program are assigned a CAE mentor to work with them throughout the process.
You are eligible to become a CAE if:
- You have at least three years as a chief executive officer or five years association management experience.
- You are currently employed full time in a trade association, professional society or philanthropic organization
- You pledge in writing to adhere to ASAE Code of Standards of Conduct and have no felony convictions
The CAE Career Enrichment Program meets Tuesday evenings from 5:30 to 7:30 PM, during the months of February, March & April.
