What do Sheryl Sandberg, Lindsey Vonn and Tina Fey all have in common? They each had mentors. On Friday, February 5th, Jean Lahage Cohen will engage NYSAE’s young professionals in an interactive discussion about how having the vital connection of a mentor can change professional and personal lives. Are you a peer mentor? Do you want to know what it takes to be in an effective mentor/mentee relationship? Be prepared to share your experiences as well as sharing mentoring programs currently in place within your organization.

About the Next Generation Leadership Group:
The NYSAE Next Generation Leadership Group is a brand new, volunteer-run initiative of the NY Society of Association Executives (NYSAE). “Next Generation” is part of NYSAE’s bigger plan to create a culture that is welcoming to young professionals. Next Generation will serve as a gathering place for emerging leaders in the metro NY association and not-for-profit communities to convene and engage in interactive discussion with like-minded peers. We will enjoy mentoring programs with senior leaders, meeting with other dynamic young professionals, building networks, learning from each other, testing new ideas, and receiving feedback.
