Amish Mehta, CPA

NYSAE Board member Amish Mehta announces that Friedman LLP will be presenting a training session for Board Members, Executive Directors, Controllers and CFO/COOs of Nonprofits on Tuesday, May 23 starting at 8:30 AM.

In this session, they will review significant changes to the presentation of financial statements and will discuss how to prepare internally for these changes. The new standard is effective for annual financial statements issued for fiscal years beginning after December 15, 2017.

NYSAE member Ethan Draddy, CEO & Scout Executive at Greater New York Councils, Boy Scouts of America, would like to share the date of the 3rd Annual World Championship Pinewood Derby. It is Saturday, June 24, 2017.

With more than 2,000 Scouts and families expected from throughout the nation to gather in Times Square, it is shaping up to be bigger and better than the last two.

The National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) reached a record 1,751 attendees at its 38th National Conference on Pediatric Health Care March 16-19 in Denver. Denver is the birthplace of the 44-year-old nurse practitioner movement. NAPNAP is based in lower Manhattan.

More than 100 expert-led education sessions, poster presentations and workshops were available to advanced practice nurses in primary, acute and specialty care. The Leader in Pediatric Education for Nurse Practitioners (R), conference highlights included sessions on Maximizing Health Care in the Human Trafficking Victim, Medication Transition for Transgender Youth, Emerging Infectious Diseases 2017 and There an App for That! The technological Takeover of Health Care.

"Our conference and membership have been growing because of the increased need and usage of pediatric nurse practitioners and their fellow pediatric-focused advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs)," says Cate Brennan, executive director & NYSAE member.
