Please join NYSAE for an informative talk about the “Gig Economy” & why it matters to associations and our members.

The #1 hiring problem for small business (& association members) is finding qualified talent. It’s a major deterrent to growth in many industry sectors yet the talent market is chock full of skilled workers who seek flexible work arrangements (‘gigs’) instead of traditional 9-5 W2 employment. It’s estimated there are already 44M freelance or gig workers in the US and that 55M or 40% of the US workforce will be freelancing by 2020. Businesses can benefit and better scale by leveraging more agile work arrangements and augmenting core teams with flexible workers for specialized, short-term or ongoing, part-time work.

Information about and access to gig economy resources is an important area of thought leadership for associations. It's a significant workforce trend and both a critical strategic and tactical tool for association members to leverage. This talk is about how business can benefit from the gig economy and the role associations can play in leading the way.
