About the Speaker:
Mark A. Newman is the Editor of Endocrine News, published by the Endocrine Society. His other association experience includes various editor duties on the various journals published by the Society of Nuclear Medicine as well as a stint as the Editor of LD+A (Lighting Design + Application) at the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America. He has received a variety of awards from a First Place win in the Fire Prevention Essay contest in Jackson, Alabama while in high school to a Neal Award for covering the aftermath of 9/11. He also served as adjunct professor of Journalism at the University of South Alabama.

Although his resume looks like an obituary for dead magazines (RIP Southern Breeze, Facilities Design & Management, Entertainment Design, Lighting Dimensions, Reputation Management, etc.), he’s still passionate about the magazine publishing world.
