Amid the excitement of ASAE’s centennial year celebrations, what better time to pursue the Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation! As an association management professional, you’re committed to serving your members to the best of your ability. A CAE designation will equip you with the knowledge necessary to run an association with integrity and skill. Additionally, you’ll have a credential that will help you whether you choose to continue your career with a new organization or remain in your current position for many years.  The CAE credential is the marker of a committed association professional who has demonstrated the wide range of knowledge essential to manage an association in today’s challenging environment.

The first 5 NYSAE members who register with promo code "NYSAE", will get $200 off and pay only $1,265. This code is only valid if you are a NYSAE member but a nonmember of ASAE.

Do you work for or with a trade association, professional society, individual membership organization, philanthropic organization, tribal organization or an association management company? You should make attaining the CAE credential your goal if you have:

  • five years of experience as an employee at the staff level at a qualifying organization
  • one year employed as a chief staff executive or C-suite-level executive at a qualifying organization
  • ten years of part-time service to qualifying organizations as a consultant
  • five years of full-time service to qualifying organizations as a consultant
But, achieving this certification requires an investment of both time and money. Don't know where to begin? The CAE Kickoff is your first step as ASAE and NYSAE support you on your CAE journey.  The CAE exam covers a broad base of association management knowledge, so there's a lot of information to review, compile, and organize. The Kickoff will help you assess your knowledge of the content, sort out what is and is not covered on the exam, identify content areas you need to focus on, and even rediscover the joys of test-taking.
  • get a solid overview of the nine domains of association management covered in the exam
  • learn how to approach the exam with the mindset of a chief staff executive.
  • take a practice exam to evaluate your progress and areas that need more attention.
  • forge long-term relationships with other association professionals and create study groups to help you prepare for the exam.

Bonus! A copy of the CAE Study Guide ($82 value) is included in the price of the registration.
