It’s Awards Season; Nominate Someone Today!

An important aspect to the growth and development of any profession is the recognition of the outstanding accomplishments of individuals and organizations within it, and the encouragement of those who seek to achieve excellence. NYSAE’s comprehensive awards program does just that—recognizes the best of the best.

The Awards Committee encourages you to be part of the process by asking you to nominate outstanding individuals—that includes yourself—today. Deadline is February 28. Awards are presented at our annual Synergy Awards Luncheon, this year to be held on Wednesday, April 17.

NYSAE awards are given to the Outstanding Association/Non-Profit Executive, Associate Member, and Committee Chairperson, NYSAE applauds those new to the profession and to NYSAE with its New Star Award, and those who have provided NYSAE with more years of dedication, with its Distinguished Service and Diplomat Awards.

In addition to awards to individual members, NYSAE recognizes organizations that go above and beyond their mission with its Social Responsibility Award.

Individual Awards
Professional recognition awards are bestowed in the following categories:

Outstanding Association/Non-Profit Executive (current regular member) who has contributed significantly to the management function of his/her organization, the community, the association/non-profit management profession, and who actively supports NYSAE in achieving its mission of leading and advancing the career of association/not-for-profit management.

Outstanding Associate Member (current associate member) who has substantially benefited his/her company, significantly promoted the services and programs of NYSAE, and contributed to the community.

Outstanding Committee Chairperson (current regular or associate member) who has developed and/or executed programs and projects which promote the purposes of NYSAE and that benefit members through the achievements of his/her committee.

Distinguished Service (current regular or associate member) who has made extraordinary contributions to NYSAE by his/her skillful performance in aiding and assisting in areas such as special projects, new programs and/or ad hoc functions.

New Star (current regular or associate member) with less than three years service who has made a significant contribution to NYSAE in the areas of committee work, special projects, or new programs.

Organizational Award
NYSAE’s most prominent organizational award is its Social Responsibility Award, presented to a group (organization represented by either a current regular or associate member) that has made an extraordinary contribution to an ongoing or one-time program, project or service above and beyond its primary mission (although it can be related to that mission) that has wide ranging benefits and which has the potential to be replicated in the association community.

Let’s celebrate our professional achievements.
