Association Trends named two NYSAE members as 2015 Young & Aspiring Professionals. Congratulations to Bryan Harrison, Networks Director, Specialty Equipment Market Association, and Meredith Taylor, of Kellen, who serves as Executive Director, College Media Association, and GM, American Society of Journalists and Authors. Bryan received NYSAE's New Star Award this past April, and Meredith received the New Star Award in 2013. Boy, can we pick em!.

 

Gregory Boroff is celebrating two years as Executive Director at Friends of Hudson River Park.

 

Judi Huck has joined the American Thoracic Society (ATS) as its Manager of Communications and Marketing. In this role, Huck is responsible for executing multichannel communications and marketing efforts to build upon membership, attendance at the annual International Conference, and readership of the ATS’s three scientific journals. Huck recently served as the Communications Specialist of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. “We recognized Judi’s talent early on when she began participating in the NYSAE Special Interest Group on Communications and Marketing, and we’re thrilled that she is bringing her experience and perspective to the ATS,” says Rory Williams, ATS Director of Communications and Marketing, and past Co-Chair of the SIG. “We thank the NYSAE for making this connection possible.”.

The Bermuda Tourism Authority and Elbow Beach Resort hosted NYSAE's Board of Directors for a retreat. Dolci, CAE, President & CEO, NYSAE; Donna Douglas, Business Development Manager, Bermuda Tourism Authority; Heather Lamb, Director of Corporate & Group Sales, Elbow Beach Resort Bermuda; Michael Weamer, Chairman of the Board, NYSAE and President & CEO, The Marfan Foundation; and Karin Darrell, Director of Partnerships, Bermuda Tourism Authority. The weekend included site visits to the Hamilton Princess and the Fairmont Southampton.
