NYSAE Members Get Reduced Rate at Better Business Bureau Forum on Leading the Recovery

New York Society of Association Executives is an event supporter of the Education and Research Foundation of the Better Business Bureau Serving Metropolitan New York's second CSR Forum: Leading the Recovery: Restoring Transparency and Trust in Business. Sponsored by the Bank of New York Mellon, the program will be held May 12, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Time, Inc. is hosting the event at its Conference Center at 1271 Avenue of the Americas.

The program will center on rebuilding trust in business, business ethics, and CSR in difficult times. Featured presenters include Stanley S. Litow, vice president of corporate citizen and corporate affairs, IBM, and president, IBM International Foundation, who will be speaking on Building Transparency and Integrity; and John DeRose, senior manager, audit and enterprise risk services, Deloitte & Touche, LLP, who will address The Responsible and Sustainable Board.

Carol Cone, chairman and founder, Cone, Inc., will moderate a panel on Responsibility Strategies for Rough Times. Panelists will discuss sustaining CSR, community affairs, and philanthropic programs, and increasing impact and ROI while needs are increasing and budgets are shrinking. Panelists include: Lisa M. Quiroz, senior vice president, corporate responsibility, Time Warner; Caroline Roan, vice president, corporate responsibility, Pfizer, Inc., and president, Pfizer Foundation; and Kathryn C. Brown, senior vice president, public policy development and corporate responsibility, Verizon Communications, Inc.

Stuart Elliot, advertising columnist with the New York Times, will moderate a panel on Ethical Marketing Challenges. Panelists will discuss issues such as behavioral marketing, stealth marketing, piracy, and data security, self-regulatory efforts, and best practices. Panelists include: Randall Rothenberg, president and CEO, Interactive Advertising Bureau; Leonard L. Gordon, director, northeast regional office, Federal Trade Commission; and Ronald R. Urbach, partner and co-chair, advertising, marketing and promotions practice group, Davis & Gilbert, LLP.
