Every year the NYSAE Synergy Awards recognize individuals and organizations for their outstanding practices and contributions to making New York City’s Association and Non-Profit community thrive. All awards are open to both members and nonmembers of NYSAE except for the Distinguished Service Award, which is for NYSAE members only. Self-nominations are encouraged. To be eligible, individuals and organizations must operate in the NY Metro Area. All available awards may not be recognized each year.

NYC Impact Award
Individual or Organization Award
This award celebrates an individual or an organization within the association community whose overall contributions or a specific, outstanding program, activity or achievement has made a significant positive impact in the NY metro region.
This award celebrates an individual who, during their lifetime, has made consistent and significant contributions to an organization, in their specific field or within their community.
Association Chief Executive of the Year
This award recognizes an executive who has contributed significantly to the advancement of the association management profession as a key leader in a professional society or association and has demonstrated outstanding achievement in advancing the mission of the organization.
Meeting Planner of the Year
This award is open to a meeting planner who plans offsite association or non-profit meetings, events, conferences or trade shows. To be eligible the person must have created an experience that challenged the status quo and effectively aligned it with the strategic goals of the organization.
(The Meeting Planner of the Year award will be judged by the NYSAE awards committee as well as NYSAE members of our Convention and Visitors Bureaus (CVB) and hotel community)
Distinguished Service Award
This award recognizes outstanding committee service demonstrating team leadership either as a chair, vice chair, past chair, participant, or liaison as a contributing member of one or more NYSAE committees that promote the purposes of NYSAE and benefits its members.
This award recognizes individuals who have seven years or less of professional experience working in a professional society or association, and have demonstrated the ability to develop relevant resources that increase member value and advance the mission of the organization. (may award multiple)
New Association Award
This award recognizes a new association that has established a loyal constituency and offers relevant and meaningful benefits to that constituency. To be eligible, associations must have been in existence for less than 5 years. Associations with no paid staff are eligible.
Excellence in Educational Programming
This award recognizes an organization that has created a relevant educational program that contributed significantly to the development of its members’ profession or industry workforce.
The Digital Excellence award recognizes an association for innovation in the use of innovative digital technology to connect members, provide relevant implementation tools, and expand industry knowledge to advance its mission.
Association Partner of the Year
The Association Partner of the Year award recognizes an organization that provides services or products that have significantly improved, promoted, and benefited the association/not-for-profit community.
New this Year! Sponsor a Synergy Award!
Each Synergy Award will be sponsored and presented to the honoree by a NYSAE partner organization.
Synergy Award sponsorship is $1,500. The sponsor will choose a representative who will be part of the luncheon program and receive scripted remarks. The sponsor will be included in the honoree photos with NYSAE leadership. Prior to the Synergy Awards luncheon, all sponsor organization will be recognized and marketed throughout the awards promotion via invitation, eblasts, social media, website, articles, newsletter.
