About Nakeshia:
Nakeshia Betsill is the Director of Membership at Kellen whose work is focused on communications, acquisition, retention, engagement and overseeing membership for 30 professional societies and trade groups clients.
Devoting 8 years to Kellen, Nakeshia has served in many roles and possesses over a decade of experience in volunteer management, non-profits, and healthcare. Previous to Kellen, Nakeshia worked for the City of New York’s Department of Cultural Affairs and the world’s largest and most visible fundraising event for HIV/AIDS, mobilizing 9,000 volunteers annually for AIDS Walk New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Nakeshia holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications with specialization in Public Relations from Virginia Commonwealth University.
About Chris:
Chris Gloede is the Chief Consultant for Ricochet, helping associations leverage modern marketing technologies and strategies to build stronger connections with prospects, customers, and members. He also often teaches live classes to association executives through the Association Academy, sharing practical advice to improve membership and marketing efforts. Previously, Chris was the first Chief Marketing Officer of the American Bar Association where he created a culture of innovation, helped the organization recover from the recession, and reversed decades of membership decline. Chris also worked in the advertising industry for global agencies Leo Burnett and Ogilvy & Mather.
About Maria:
Maria Ungaro serves as the Vice President, Membership Engagement for Licensing International the leading trade organization for the $315+ billion global brand licensing industry. Maria spent more than 20 years at Kellen where she served as executive director for New York Women in Communications (NYWICI). She is highly skilled in strategic thinking, operational effectiveness, membership retention, growth marketing and major event planning and fundraising. A graduate of Fordham University, Maria holds both a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major of Political Science with a Minor in Economics, as well as a Master of Business Administration in Marketing.
