Speaker Dr. Laura Christoph, Director of Health & Performance Coaching, Canyon Ranch. 

As a Health & Performance Coach, Laura's role includes group and individual coaching to resort guests ‎before, during, and after their stay at Canyon Ranch Lenox. She facilitates goal setting, active ‎engagement with interdisciplinary teams, and fosters positive behavior change that results in optimizing ‎health and performance. ‎

Prior to joining our Health & Performance team at Canyon Ranch in the Berkshires, Laura was a ‎professor at the community college and university level for fifteen years where she taught a variety of ‎nutrition, public health, fitness, and other courses.  Her research involved curriculum development for ‎adolescent nutrition education and nutrition coaching for collegiate athletes, and she co-authors an ‎introductory nutrition college textbook.‎

Laura has also worked as a health coach for a decade, empowering clients to meet their health and ‎wellness goals, as well as improve their relationship with food and increase performance in sports. Her ‎areas of expertise are in public health education, nutrition education, eating disorder recovery ‎coaching, and athletic performance coaching.‎ In Laura's free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and cat in the house they built ‎together in Charlemont, MA, rowing on the Connecticut river with her doubles partner, or reading a ‎good mystery novel.‎
